This was a sort of passion project to me. I was curious about learning how to create a website from the ground up using Visual Studio Code, and this was my first foray. It took a lot of trial and error to get it to the point it's at today. Whenever I had some down time between classes or a free afternoon, I'd chip away at the website and add some new feature/design.

I grew up memorizing digits of pi for school competitions (Pi Day), but most of the apps/websites I learned on have since been taken down. I tailored this website to remind me of the ones I used to use, but with added features that my younger self would have appreciated.
The first page is a practice round, where you can make as many mistakes as you want. Perfect for when you're first memorizing a new string.
The test page offers a way to check how many digits you've actually retained. I added a three-lives mechanic that was common in the apps I grew up using. There's also a High Score displayed at the bottom, so you can compete against yourself.
Finally, when you're first learning a new segment of digits, you can come to the Learn page and type in which # of digits you want to memorize. For example, if your high score is 100 and you don't have any idea which digits come next, you come to this page and type in 100. The first 100 digits will highlight green, and you can memorize from there.
